Carnival with Grandma and Grandpa

About a week ago my parents took the three oldest kids to the Orem Carnival while Curtis and I had some very much needed alonish time (baby was still with us.) They took pictures and shared them with me. I thought they were cute so here they are.

Kids love to pretend to ride motorcycles like Dad.

My young looking mom, beautiful Sage, and Jace.

Love Ashton facial expressions.

I love how Ashton chose a horse with Orange hair like him.

My mom told me that Jace had seen the chicken earlier in the day, and when he got the opportunity to ride the merry go round he refused to ride anything else but this chicken. Jace has always know exactly what he wants and how he wants it.

My little girl is growing up.

I can not believe that Sage is 9!! When I asked her what she wanted for her birthday she had a really hard time coming up with anything. And the things she asked for were mostly grown up gifts such as clothes, shoes, and a journal. The only toy she asked for was of course Pet Shop. She collects them and loves to play hours on end with them.

People keep on telling me she is too old for Pet Shop but I collected plastic animals myself all the way through 6th grade. So I find nothing wrong with it:)

I found this gem at a garage sale. For those who can not make out the words it says cleanliness is next to impossible. If you know Sage you understand that! She got a laugh out of it.

Sage also received flip flops, a journal, brownies, cards, books, a craft kit, swimsuit and clothes, and a parasol.

She knew she was going to get a few packages from others in the mail so whenever the door bell rang she was the first one to the door to sign for anything that might come. Or whenever she heard the mailman she ran out to see what cards she had waiting there for her. As things arrived she begged me to let her open them. And being the push over mom that I am I allowed her to do so figuring what harm could it really do... So she had the joy of opening presents Thursday, Friday, and Saturday before her birthday. Lucky girl.

On her actual birthday I let her choose breakfast. She chose blueberry pancakes with strawberries and whipped cream on top. I threw in some bacon for good measure. And although it was Her birthday, she kept in mind that it was fathers day too and served Curtis breakfast in bed before she had a bite to eat herself. She really is a sweetheart.

Later in the afternoon she opened the rest of her gifts. She seemed pleased with them all. And even more later in the evening she attempted to blow out her cake in which her very sneaky mom had placed two trick candles in the mix... and yes I videoed it so enjoy!
